Ain't Be Coming Out

Baby is due Sunday. In two days. Would someone please inform her of that? Precious few of my maternity clothes are fitting me now.

I visited the doctor today. It was an appointment with Dr. No Personality. I like Dr. No Personality because he is professional and to the point, but sometimes he stands there and lectures me like I'm a drooling idiot. I asked him a simple question that is too private to repeat here. He answered my question, but went on to state that what I really need to be concerned about is contractions, and how I should time them, and at what point I should get myself to the hospital. You don't say? Two days before I'm due, you're telling me the logistics of timing contractions to determine the best time to break my neck in getting to the hospital? Can you teach me how to tie my shoes next?

If I haven't gone in to labor in about a week, then the doc said that I may be induced on Monday the 21st. Chad is elated at this news because that may mean that our daughter and his wife would share a birthday, and that's one less annual event he'll have to make a big fuss over. And wouldn't you know it, the on-call doctor for the 21st is Dr. No Personality.

Isn't that the way they all are. (Dr.'s I mean) I realize they've probably delivered hundreds or perhaps thousands of babies, but they still have never experienced it and technically that makes them NOT experts. Bottom Line: It's your body and you'd be surprised how well your own instincts, intuition, gut feelings are right on the money. A very valuable lesson I learned with my first...listening to my dr. and not my body, ended me up in an unnecessary c-section. Luckily, I wised up the second time and was able to get a dr. that would let me V-BAC. Good luck! BTW it has a lot to do with genetics (when you deliver)...did your mom go early, late, right on time?

I was wondering when you were due! Good luck with everything! I hope it all goes well and that you don't have to wait another week. I'll be thinking about you!

I totally agree with you about Dr.'s and that's why I like female Dr.s better. They are WAY more compassionate I think--they actually know what we are going through!

♡ I've been waiting to hear if anything has happened! Joe's and my anniversary is on the same day as his mom's b-day and he still can't remember it... :)

I hope everything goes well!!!

Um, no tips from me, I've yet to go into labor by myself. Avery was 11 days late!!!! AHHHH! My Dr. had little personality, I asked for a group rate discount when I was waiting on Avery (he had already delivered Connor & Felicity) he almost laughed. Then with Oliver, he started having more personality, maybe cause by then he was delivering Allen girl babies # 5 &6. Best of luck to you, make sure to get some good reading material (shallow magazines work well) because there is never anything on TV.

Oh, to go late!!! I was induced 5 days after my duedate. I hope you don't have to wait a whole week, but it would be fun to share a birthday!!! Good luck.

silly baby! Now is the time to start bribing her. Or is this a sign that she will become a stubborn child? Hmmm...
Good luck! Hang in there.
