I haven't posted in a while, because it's hard to write the truth. Today Chad is at the University of Utah hospital where he is being interviewed by a panel of doctors in hopes of receiving a liver transplant. He was finally able to come home last week, but he is feeling pretty weak. We're grateful to family and friends who have expressed love and concern for his well being.
Baby Maura is a night owl like her mother. She has a patented scream, which is like an alarm clock going off inside my head. She likes her hair stroked, the sound of running water, and to be held while sleeping. She hates it when Chad coughs, I sneeze, or to not be held while sleeping. She has been such a great distraction during this difficult time. She brings a lot of joy to my life. I need to post some updated pics.

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry for Chad! We'll keep him in our prayers! How are you holding up? Not getting too much sleep it sounds like! Hang in there!
Oh my! I can't imagine what you're going through! I am so sorry. We will be praying for your family! If you need any help watching Maura so you can be with Chad, or take a nap (seriously), or just need some sanity time, please let me know (I'm sure Megan will have first dibs). We're in Bountiful - relatively close.
You will be added in our prayers as well! I hope that all goes well! Love every minute of that baby, though! At least she isn't a morning person :)
♥ Oh my gosh! I had no idea! I'll definately be praying for you guys too!
Maura sounds great. There's nothing better than holding a sleeping baby in my opinion! :)
We're keeping updated through my mom. We like you folks a very lot and wish we could do more than pray; but since that's what we can do, we're doing it.
i'm so sorry heather and chad. we are praying for you too. my goodness. maura is so beautiful, good work you two! you are in our thoughts.
Should I sick Jess on you guys to cheer you up :) he works @ university of utah urgent care clinics so he is in the area...I'll tell him not to forget his clown nose and squirting flower corsage/boutineer (sp?) :) Wish there was something I could do, my heart goes out to you, it is stressful when your spouse is sick and you feel helpless. Please tell me if there is something I can have my Utah family members do.
