My Quirky Self

Tagged!

The rules: Link to the person that tagged you. (The Wife) Mention these rules on your blog. Tell 6 unspectacular quirks of yourself and tag 6 fellow bloggers.

#1 I love to load the dishwasher. I can make every dish fit inside and in such a way that water will clean each and every surface. It's like a Tetris game (see # two below).

#2 When I was in high school, my family lived in a single room cabin for two months while waiting for the building of our house. It was impossible for my parents to find any sort of apartment that would rent to a family of five. I guess in the state of Oregon, our family was considered too numerous to ever need a rental space. There was a family in the ward who owned the property the cabin sat on, so they let us live in it. There was no running water, and the bathroom and shower were about a half block's hike up the hill. Of course I had early morning Seminary classes during this time. We ate a lot of TV dinners and played Nintendo.

We were only supposed to live in that cabin for a month, but it snowed so much that winter that the building of our house was delayed.

#3 I will never, ever scrapbook. I have no tolerance for anything cutesy. But I'm all about organizing photos into an album.

#4 For number four, I'm stealing The Wife's quirk- I guess we're both quirky in the same way! I have to fold my bath towels a certain way. I fold them so that the edges are inside. If my husband folds the laundry, I then refold the towels.

#5 My jaw clicks. The sound of it even bothered a poor dental hygienist who apparently lost the dental patient lottery and got stuck cleaning my teeth. At least I don't have any cavities.

#6 And for the grand finale- my deep, dark secret is that my hair sometimes falls out. It's really odd. I had a biopsy taken of my scalp to see if my immune system was attacking my hair roots, a la Alopecia Areata, but that wasn't the case. I was even referred to a specialist at the University of Utah hospital and he was baffled. My hair will just sometimes go through a stage of shedding in patches. I just get it cut to make it look thicker and wait it out. I never know when it will happen or where. I've been pretty lucky so far and haven't had any obvious bald spots.

I hereby tag- Megan and anyone else who is hard up for bloggy material.
