I Should Get My Own Security Pass

I've been to the hospital every day. But not for the reason you think.

Last Tuesday: Chad had an outpatient procedure. One in ten people develop complications from the procedure he had.

Wednesday: Birth Information Tour.

Thursday: Child Birth Prep Class.

Friday: Trip to ER. Chad was the one in ten that developed complications. He was admitted to the hospital and stayed overnight. I'm thinking, I'm due tomorrow. Do I go home? Do I stay here if I go into labor, so that I can deliver my baby two floors down? Am hoping I do not go into labor before Chad feels better.

Saturday: Hung out in Chad's room. Am carting my giant hospital bag back and forth every day. Somehow all of Chad's nurses know that I'm about to pop. They must have a bet going.

Sunday: Chad's mother arrives to stay with us for two weeks. She is my angel. Now I have someone to drive me to the hospital. Now the baby can come. Joke to Chad that if he hears me cursing his name from two floors down, he'll know that baby is on the way.

Today: Chad wants to get up and walk around the halls today. I push his IV drip beside him. A nurse comments that we have "all sorts of challenges." Yep.

Life seems to be so crappy sometimes, like someone is playing a big dumb joke on you that's not at all funny. I hope Chad is able to recuperate quickly. I can't wait to see you guys and the baby : )

It really isn't funny - but you write the scenario out in a funny way. I can't help laughing just a little bit because it's so absurd.
Yay for Chad's mom. She is sure a gem and my very favorite auntie.
Best of well wishes to you, Chad, and baby. I hope it all works out well.

Someday I'm sure you'll look back and laugh...meanwhile thanks for making all of us chuckle. Glad to hear your bonus mom is like beth (my mom --in case you forgot again :)...jumps over whenever you need her :)
Keep on Keepin on..

It seems like everything happens at once. Just remember these crappy days when you're up at 2 am with your little angel that's screaming for no apparent reason. It will be worth it. And hey, at least you have something to blog about! :)

Thanks for the memories you left on my blog -- loved them! Didn't we play that game all the time? I also remember being in your seminary class and you did the thought one morning and you shared this analogy entitled "the sense of a goose" (or something like that) I really don't remember what it said, but I remember thinking it was really cool.

Good luck with your little one!

I've been thinking about you - and I found you! Wow - congrats on the baby that you have probably had by now. Hopefully all is going well for you guys. Maybe you and Chad can have matching cots in the same room? When you get a chance - (I know, in 4 months when you come out of your new baby coma) send me an email so I can invite you to our blog. (I guess I'm the paranoid type.) Congrats again!

Hey--any news yet? Is there a baby yet? How are you doing? Hopefully Chad's home now? Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you.

Happy birthday today!! (Of course I don't have your email address.) Sybil says that Maura is an absolute beautiful miracle. She also tells us that you're amazing. We're praying for Chad and for you, too. Lots of love to you and yours.
